Tottenham Hotspur new boy DeAndre Yedlin has expressed his desire to play his football in Europe for a long time to come, though he admits that the possibility of going back to Seattle Sounders to finish his career would be "cool".

The Liywhites last month confirmed that the defender would link up with the club in January, Yedlin having penned a four-year deal with the White Hart Lane outfit in August following a successful World Cup with the United States.

And now having arrived in London and settled in, the 21-year-old is loving life in England, expressing his keenness to extend his stay in Europe for as long as he can.

“My goal is play here forever”, Yedlin told the New York Times.

The former Seattle Sounders starlet also took time to speak about his desire to finish off his career at his home club if the opportunity arises.

“Okay, maybe going back to play in Seattle to finish my career would be cool", he added.

Yedlin though does not see a return to the United States coming about for quite some time yet, with his full focus being on enjoying a lengthy career in Europe.

"But I don’t want that to happen for a long, long time."

Yedlin made his debut for his new club's Under-21 side in a match against West Ham in the Under-21 Premier League.
