MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has revealed that Newcastle United are one of the many clubs who are interested in signing their young midfielder Dele Alli, but stressed the starlet will not leave Stadium MK this month whatever happens.

A product of the Dons’ youth academy, the 18-year-old starlet has attracted attention of clubs in England with his performances in the third tier of English football. Liverpool have been consistently linked with Alli, but Newcastle are also now on the scene.

He has been in fine form for MK Dons this season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions and has already made 74 appearances for the club, despite his tender years.

Newcastle are speculated to be the favourites to sign the England Under-19 international, but Robinson said that any deal for Alli will include him returning to the League One club on loan until the summer.

"I can't see him not wearing our shirt for the rest of the season", Robinson told the BBC, speaking about Alli.

"Part of the deal would be him staying with us for the rest of the season and joining whoever it is in the summer.

"There's no deal completely confirmed yet."

The Dons manager also indicated that given his goalscoring record this season, his suitors might have to pay a hefty transfer fee to secure Alli’s services, as the youngster hits the back of the net as many times as a striker.

"If we were talking about an 18-year-old striker with 12 goals, you'd be talking about millions, and this is a midfielder."
