Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs is in talks with Chelsea over signing Andre Schurrle after the Germany international agreed to move to the Volkswagen Arena.

The Wolves, who currently sit second in the Bundesliga standings, recently denied being on Schurrle's tail, but the fast-moving transfer saga is now picking up pace as the closure of the winter transfer window approaches.

According to German magazine Kicker, Schurrle has given Wolfsburg the green light, agreeing to move to the Volkswagen Arena if a deal can be done with Chelsea.

Allofs is now in talks with Chelsea officials, with the Blues looking for €30m to sell a player they bought from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2013 for just over €20m.

Wolfsburg have offered €27m and are confident of reaching a compromise with the Blues to snap up the forward.
