West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison signed a four-year contract with Lazio yesterday after passing a medical, according to Il Messaggero.

The 21-year-old, who has not played for the Hammers since his return from a loan stint at Cardiff last month, arrived in Rome yesterday to finalise his move.

He underwent a regular medical before going to Lazio’s Formello training ground, where he penned a four-year deal with the club and met some of his future team-mates.

The former Manchester United midfielder will earn a salary of around €750,000 per season at Lazio and if can reach an agreement with West Ham to terminate his contract at Upton Park, he could train with the Roman club for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old made just one league appearance for West Ham this term and made seven appearances in the second tier of English football with Cardiff.
