Sevilla are hoping to convince Paris Saint-Germain to let Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal target Adrien Rabiot join them on loan this month.

He was seemingly on his way to joining Tottenham after agreeing personal terms with the club earlier this month, but PSG decided to block the deal as they are not keen on him leaving in the winter window.

Though he is not a regular starter, Laurent Blanc wants him to stay at the club at least until the summer and is not willing to lose the midfielder in the middle of the season.

According to French outlet Maxifoot, Sevilla are keen on signing Rabiot and are hoping to convince PSG to sanction a loan move for the player to the Andalusian club this month.

The young French midfielder recently signed a new contract with the club and there have been rumours that it contains a clause that allows him to leave the Parisians this winter on a loan deal.

PSG are reluctant to let the youngster leave and the deal might depend on the future of their midfielder Clement Chantome, who has been linked with a move to Bordeaux.

If the French champions lose Chantome, then they won’t be willing to lose one more midfielder in the form of Rabiot in the winter transfer window.

Spurs, who were confident of signing Rabiot earlier, are hoping to have their say in the transfer saga if PSG decide to let the player go this month.
