Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are expected to complete the signing of Chelsea forward Andre Schurrle, with the deal to be potentially done and dusted later today.

Sporting director Klaus Allofs has been holding talks with Chelsea after Schurrle gave the green light to a move back to his homeland earlier this week.

The Wolves have offered €27m for Schurrle, but Chelsea have been holding out for €30m. A fee though is now thought to have been thrashed out between the two clubs, leading to optimism the transfer is imminent.

Schurrle's agent Ingo Haspel told German news agency SID: "There are still some things to discuss, but the talks are no longer about figures."

Haspel also admitted that the transfer "should go through on Friday".

Schurrle is believed to have grown disillusioned at a lack of regular first team football at Chelsea, despite boss Jose Mourinho consistently stressing his importance to the side.

The German will land at a club sitting second in the Bundesliga, in the shape of Wolfsburg, and on course to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Wolfsburg also did business with Chelsea in the winter window last year, snapping up Kevin De Bruyne from the Blues.
