The agent of former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has strongly denied that his client could quit Inter before the transfer window closes.

Vidic only joined Inter last summer from Manchester United, but has seen his performances in Serie A heavily criticised, with calls for the club to ship him out.

The tough-tackling Serbian had been relegated to the bench, however Inter coach Roberto Mancini has fielded in his starting eleven for the club's last three games.

And Vidic's agent feels it is too soon for the centre-back to give up on his Italian adventure, especially as he has returned to the team.

Silvano Martina told FC Inter 1908: "Why should he leave? He is playing.

"He is happy with his environment and intends to respect his contract because he's only been in Milan for six months."

Vidic has been linked with a number of clubs, with even an unlikely return to Manchester United mooted in some quarters.

The 33-year-old has a deal at the San Siro running until the summer of 2017.

He has made 16 appearances in all competitions for Inter so far this season.
