Chelsea have agreed a deal with Fiorentina for Manchester United-linked Juan Cuadrado and the winger will undergo a medical in west London this weekend, according to Sportitalia.

Since last week, Chelsea have been trying to reach an agreement with La Viola and it seems the transfer saga is finally reaching its logical conclusion.

It emerged yesterday that the Blues were prepared to make Mohamed Salah, who is wanted by Roma, part of a deal to convince Fiorentina to lower the €35m figure that they were demanding for the Colombian.

It seems Chelsea have succeeded in their endeavour and both clubs have agreed a deal that will see Cuadrado join the Blues for a transfer fee of around €31m with Salah joining La Viola on loan.

The Colombian will travel to England shortly and will undergo a medical this weekend, with Chelsea trying to complete his signing before their top of the table clash against Manchester City on Sunday.

The transfer saga has been personally driven by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who was desperate to add quality to strengthen his squad for the second half of the season.

Salah is expected to remain on loan at Fiorentina until the end of the season, however La Viola will have the right to extend the period for a further year if he impresses.
