Napoli and Liverpool are set to tussle for the signature of 19-year-old Uruguayan striker Jaime Baez in the summer.

A product of Uruguayan outfit Juventud de Las Piedras’ youth academy, the young striker has been in fine form for the club this season and has scored five goals in 14 appearances.




A highly rated forward in his homeland, the teenager is being tipped as a future star and is currently participating in the Under-20 South American Championship for Uruguay.

His performances in the Under-20 tournament in Uruguay are being closely monitored from scouts across the world and Napoli and Liverpool representatives have also been impressed with his performances.
 


The player is set to spark off a fierce transfer tussle between Napoli and Liverpool when both clubs go head to head in the summer for the 19-year-old’s signature, according to Tuttosport.
