Antonio Valencia has insisted that Leicester City will take on a different Manchester United later today than the side the Foxes faced earlier in the season.

Very early into Louis van Gaal’s time at Manchester United, the Dutchman suffered a shock defeat at Leicester in September, when the Foxes came from 3-1 down to beat the Red Devils 5-3.

Climbing up to fourth in the league table, Manchester United have become more resilient at the back since last September and they have been beaten just once in the league in their last 12 games.

Manchester United will host Leicester later today at Old Trafford and Valencia insisted that they are in a much better state than they were earlier this season, when they suffered the shock defeat at the King Power Stadium.

The winger said that Manchester United have become collectively much stronger over the course of the campaign and with the home crowd behind them, the Red Devils will put up a much better showing this time around against Nigel Pearson’s side.

"The team is increasingly stronger and more together", the winger told United Review, the club's official matchday programme.

"We are working as a team and that is good.

"I am more than sure that Leicester will face a different United this time around.

“We are playing as a team, we are fighting, we are playing at home with our fans and we want to win."
