Manuel Pellegrini says he is unhappy with his Manchester City side managing only a 1-1 draw away against Chelsea this evening.

The first half was even, with both sides enjoying their fair share of the ball. But the first goal only came in the 41st minute, with Loic Remy, in for the suspended Diego Costa, scoring for Chelsea.

Manchester City very quickly drew level though, with David Silva striking on the stoke of half time to send the teams in level at 1-1.

In the second half Chelsea dropped back, adopting a defensive approach and Manchester City started to dictate the game.

Chelsea did not register a single shot on target in the second half, but Manchester City could not find another way through the Blues defence and the clash finished 1-1, despite the Citizens applying severe pressure.

For Pellegrini, Manchester City were clearly far superior to Chelsea in the second half and the draw has left him unhappy, with the feeling that the Citizens should have bagged all three points.

"We are not happy with a point. I am happy with the way my team played today", he told the BBC.

"We had three good chances in the first half, they scored with their only chance in the 90 minutes – they did not even have a shot in the second half.

"There was just one team from the beginning who wanted to win.

"You may say it is a good point at Stamford Bridge but for me it is not because we were better than Chelsea", Pellegrini added.

The gap between the two teams at the top of the Premier League remains at five points.
