Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that they are looking to bring in two players on loan before the winter transfer window slams shut on Monday night.

The Hoops have been struggling to maintain their Premier League status as they lie 19th in the table after collecting 19 points from their 22 games so far.

Redknapp admitted that two players arriving on loan would significantly help them bid to prolong their stay in the top division of English football.

“We're looking for a couple of loans. That's the market we're in at the moment”, Redknapp said at a press conference, ahead of their weekend clash against Stoke City.

“[Owner] Tony Fernandes and Les [Ferdinand] are working really hard with me to try and get a couple of deals done – it's hard though”

However, the manager admitted that they are not close to signing anyone at present. But he hopes to sign up to two new players before the transfer window comes to a close.

“We want a couple of loans – if we can find them, then we will get them over the line. We're not close though on anyone.

“We're struggling to get anyone in at the moment. It's a really difficult time to do business.”

Redknapp further admitted that they have not had any offers for club outcasts Adel Taarabt and Shaun Wright-Phillips, while insisting that midfielder Leroy Fer is not going to leave Loftus Road.

"We've not had any offers for Taarabt or Shaun Wright-Phillips. The Leory Fer stuff is a load of rubbish – he's not going anywhere."

QPR, who are yet to collect a point from their away matches in the Premier League this season, will look to address that record when they take on Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon.
