Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj was pleased to complete the full 90 minutes against Leicester City yesterday.

The Red Devils ran riot in the first half to score three goals, which helped them to register a comfortable 3-1 win over the Foxes at Old Trafford, earning another valuable three Premier League points.

After a breakthrough last season under former Manchester United boss David Moyes, the Belgian has failed to nail down a place in Louis van Gaal’s first eleven this term.

The Leicester clash was only his fifth start in the league this campaign and though he was struggling towards the end, Januzaj was pleased to complete the full 90 minutes at Old Trafford.

"I haven’t played too much, so it was good to get 90 minutes today [Saturday]", the youngster told MUTV.

“I was tired and had cramp in the last 15 minutes, but I knew I had a job to do.”

Januzaj was also happy to be part of a good team performance by Manchester United and feels they should have scored more than just three goals.

However, he believes the result will act as a confidence booster ahead of their FA Cup fifth round replay against Cambridge United on Tuesday.

“We played well, especially in the first half. We fought for each other. The second half wasn’t as good, but we’re happy with the result.

“We were good going forward and could have scored more than three goals, but hopefully we can take this into Tuesday night and win the game.”
