Monaco have put Chelsea on red alert by signalling that they are willing to part with Lucas Ocampos before the transfer window slams shut.

Chelsea were strongly linked with Ocampos earlier this season and Jose Mourinho is thought to rate the 20-year-old winger highly. It remains to be seen however if he is still ready to shop in the window, after moving to snap up Juan Cuadrado.

According to French radio station RMC, Monaco are prepared to allow Ocampos to leave the Stade Louis II in the current window.

The principality side are ready to allow a loan move for Ocampos, with a view to a permanent move.

Monaco are concerned about UEFA's financial fair play rules and know offloading the Argentine would help them stay on the right side of European football's governing body.

Ocampos has also been linked with a number of other clubs, including Fiorentina and Marseille.

The Argentine has struggled to hold down a spot in Monaco's starting elevel this term and has mostly been used off the bench by coach Leonardo Jardim.

Ocampos has made a total of 96 appearances for Monaco since joining the club, scoring 15 goals.
