Newcastle United are chasing Evian's Danish midfielder Daniel Wass as they look to strengthen their squad before the transfer window slams shut.

The Magpies are looking at a number of targets and the 25-year-old, who turns out in France with Evian, has popped onto their radar.




Now, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Premier League outfit Newcastle are firmly on Wass' tail as the transfer window enters the final stretch.

 


Wass, who is a senior Denmark international, joined Evian in 2011, initially on loan from Benfica, before making the switch permanent after impressing in France.

The Dane is a regular fixture for Evian and has made 21 appearances in Ligue 1 so far this term, chipping in with eight goals and providing three assists.

In total Wass has made 135 appearances for Evian, scoring 27 goals and providing 12 assists for his team-mates.

Wass is under contract at Evian until the summer of 2016.
