Napoli are determined not to be left behind in the developing race to sign Palermo striker Paulo Dybala.

The Argentine, who has been compared to countryman Sergio Aguero, has not signed a new contract with Palermo after the club refused to break their €1m per season wage structure. As such, Dybala is expected to be on the move in the summer, although Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has warned he will cost top dollar.

Dybala has been linked with a number of clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

And now Napoli can be added to the list after the club's sporting director Riccardo Bigon met with the player's agent, according to southern Italian daily Il Mattino.

The meeting took place yesterday when Palermo hosted Napoli in a Serie A clash, running out 3-1 winners.
