Wesley Sneijder insists he feels perfectly happy at Galatasaray and has saluted the club for parting company with former Italy coach Cesare Prandelli and their choice of his successor.

The Netherlands international midfielder had a frosty relationship with the Italian and came close to leaving the Turk Telekom Arena for Juventus in the winter transfer window.

He stayed put however after the Serie A side refused to meet a release clause of €20m in his contract and is now happy working under Prandelli's successor Hamza Hamzaoglu.

Sneijder, who has scored once and provided two assists in his last three Super Lig games, being praised for his form, was quoted as saying by Sporx: "Right now I'm the happiest player in the world. I score goals, I'm doing the business.

"I'm so happy that Prandelli has gone and Hamza Hamzaoglu is in charge. Hamza is a beautiful human being.

"He gives everyone personal attention and does everything to raise everyone to a higher level. He is a good motivator."

Sneijder's Galatasaray currently sit third in the Super Lig and five points behind leaders Besiktas.

They are next in action this evening when they host bottom club Balikesirspor. Victory would move Galatasaray to within two points of the top of the table.
