Italian champions Juventus have made Edinson Cavani their priority target for the summer transfer window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Cavani has been regularly linked with leaving PSG over the last year, talk which even forced Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to speak out on speculation he was launching a big-money bid for the Uruguayan.

The striker recently declared himself happy in Paris, however he has often been forced to play out of position to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, seeing his goal tally suffer accordingly.

Juventus are desperate to sign another striker to replace Carlos Tevez, who will not extend his contract and is likely to return to see out his career in his native Argentina, and have now zeroed in on Cavani.

And the Serie A giants are prepared to do all they can to tempt the former Napoli man back to Italy.

PSG are thought to want to keep hold of Cavani, which could make tempting him from the Parc des Princes a tough ask for Juventus.

In addition, should the French champions signal they are willing to deal over the Uruguayan, Juventus are almost certain to face competition from other clubs for his signature.
