Thorgan Hazard has insisted that Borussia Monchengladbach are the right club for his development and admits that it is too early in his career to play for Chelsea.

Thorgan, who is the younger brother of Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard, joined Monchengladbach on loan last summer and has been consistently turning in impressive performances in the Bundesliga.

Gladbach always wanted to sign the Belgian on a permanent deal and they finally reached an agreement yesterday with Chelsea to sign him on a five-and-a-half-year contract.

However, the Blues have inserted a buy-back clause in the agreement for a mutually agreed fee, meaning they will be able to recall Thorgan to Stamford Bridge in the future.

The Belgian is confident that he made the right decision as he feels Gladbach are the perfect team for him to develop further and indicated that he is still not mature enough to play for Chelsea for the moment.

“I have signed here for four years with the option of a further year, because I think Borussia are the right club for me to continue developing at”, Thorgan told Monchengladbach’s official site.

“It’s too early for me to play for Chelsea still.

“Borussia are the club that suits me the best at the moment.”

The Belgian has made 29 appearances for Gladbach in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing eight assists.
