Luis Suarez feels that his performance against Manchester City this evening, with him scoring both goals for Barcelona in a 2-1 win, may be his best in a Blaugrana shirt so far.

Luis Enrique's Barcelona went in front in the 16th minute, Suarez getting on the end of a ball from Lionel Messi which deflected off Vincent Kompany, to guide the ball into the back of the net.

Barcelona were rampant and soon extended their lead, Suarez again the goalscorer, the Uruguayan stroking home following a cross from Jordi Alba.

Manchester City picked up in the second half however and got their reward when Sergio Aguero got on the end of a fine David Silva flick to loft the ball over the Barcelona goalkeeper in the 69th minute.

But no sooner was the comeback on than it was undone, with Gael Clichy high on Dani Alves and being shown a second yellow card.

The night looked set to end miserably for Manchester City as Pablo Zabaleta brought down Lionel Messi in injury time in the penalty area, but the Argentine missed from the spot.

Barcelona still won 2-1 however, leaving Suarez delighted and feeling he may have produced his best performance for the Spanish side since signing last summer.

"Maybe [it’s my best game]. I think so, but I am not sure", he told ITV.

"I try every game to help the team. With both goals, I am so happy."

Suarez also feels a last minute missed penalty from Messi may have let the Citizens off the hook.

"If they lost the game 3-1, it's a little difficult for them in the other game."
