Celtic boss Ronny Deila thinks his side should head into their Europa League clash at the San Siro against Inter tomorrow evening in confident mood as they have shown they can match the Italians.

The Scottish champions held Roberto Mancini's men to a 3-3 draw in the first leg of their round of 32 clash at Celtic Park last week, denying Inter victory via a last gasp John Guidetti goal.

Inter hold an away goal advantage, but Deila feels that his side must take much confidence from matching the Nerazzurri in the first leg in Scotland.

"It’s important to win matches and get good confidence, and we also got good confidence from the match against Inter at home", he told a press conference in Milan.

"We showed we could match them and create chances against them, and that’s important.

"Of course, it’s vital to win and go through, but it’s also important to play these matches as it shows what level you are at as well.

"It will be an exciting and interesting game tomorrow and we are looking forward to it", Deila added.

Celtic meet an Inter side on a good run domestically, having won their last three successive Serie A games to rise to eighth spot in the Italian top flight.

The Nerazzurri are eyeing winning the Europa League as a route into next season's Champions League.
