Monaco striker Dimitar Berbatov has insisted that given the reputation their Champions League opponents Arsenal boast, the round of 16 tie between the two teams is far from over.

The French giants outplayed their English opponents, winning 3-1 at the Emirates on Wednesday, and will be carrying a huge advantage into the second leg to be played at the Stade Louis II on 17th March.

However, the former Manchester United striker stresses that the tie is far from over as the Gunners are more than capable of overturning the situation.

Speaking about the first leg, the 34-year-old added that the Londoners possess quick players and when they go out to attack they leave plenty of spaces at the back.

At the Emirates Stadium, his side were able take advantage of those blank spaces and scored three goals, according to Berbatov.

"Arsenal have very quick players, when they go forward they have a leave a lot of space at the back", Berbatov was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"We knew that, we prepared well and we took advantage of it.

"We knew what their weaknesses were and we exploited them and I think everyone can agree that we deserved to win."

He was quick to clarify though that the team being Arsenal, the tie is "not over."

"This is Arsenal, so it is not over."
