Jose Mourinho, whose Chelsea side face Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup final on Sunday, will not be drawn into offering an assessment of Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane.

Creative midfielder Eriksen and prolific striker Kane have been in superb form for Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs this season and both played all 90 minutes in Tottenham's 5-3 win over Chelsea on New Year's Day.

Kane hit a brace in a game in which Chelsea were blown away and Spurs will be hoping both the striker and Eriksen are on top form on Sunday.

Mourinho was asked at a press conference today whether he believes Eriksen and Kane are good enough to play for Chelsea. And he replied: "I don't speak about them."

The Chelsea manager was then pushed on whether he could offer an assessment of the duo's performances this term. However, he was not in a mood to do that either, again answering with a stern face: "I don't speak about them."

Eriksen played all 90 minutes of Spurs' 2-0 defeat to Fiorentina last night in the Europa League, while Kane was brought off the bench in Florence just past the hour mark.

Pochettino will hope each can recover to be in top form for Sunday at Wembley as Spurs hunt their first piece of silverware since 2008.
