Willian feels Chelsea have enough players in their squad with big match experience to stand them in good stead in the League Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur later today.

Though the last time the two teams met in the League Cup final Tottenham took away the honours in 2008, Chelsea have developed a habit of producing big moments in big finals over the last few years.

While Tottenham didn’t play another final after the game in 2008, Chelsea have won the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Europa League over the last few seasons and they were not necessarily the favourites going into the finals.

Willian feels the experience of playing in finals will help Chelsea to cope with the pressure at Wembley today and will help them to produce those big moments when the need for them arrives.

The Brazilian backed the battle-hardened players in his side to produce another big performance against Tottenham today to win the first trophy of Jose Mourinho’s second stint as Chelsea manager.

“It’s very important because these players bring a lot of experience”, Willian told the club’s official site.

“They’ve already won many trophies in a Chelsea shirt and played in a lot of finals. Their previous experiences will be vital for the team and it’s a major positive for us to have them.

“We are very confident going into the game; we have a lot of good players. All we want to do is play the final but, more importantly, win it.”
