Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin has asked for more consistency from his team in order to aim to win the Europa League this season.

The Nerazzurri have struggled to build any kind of momentum this season, failing to continue winning runs.

Their lack of consistency was yet again proved as they lost their home match against Fiorentina 1-0 yesterday, thus putting an end to their five-match unbeaten run.

And it is mistakes like those that the 28-year-old feels could get in the way of winning the Europa League this term.

"We need to be aiming to win it [Europa League], but of course we need consistency to achieve that", Guarin told his club's official site.

The former FC Porto player also took time to speak about his own responsibility in creating chances for the strikers to score.

"I feel a responsibility to try to create chances and help my team-mates. Always."

Guarin thanked manager Roberto Mancini for his show of faith in him and pointed to his desire to succeed and help the team in future.

"I feel the confidence of the coach and everything is set for me to succeed and help the team."

Guarin's team have managed to reach the round of 16 stage of the Europa League by beating Celtic and will play Wolfsburg next as they aim to reach the quarter-finals.
