19-year-old Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe is set to miss four weeks of action with a knee ligament injury, according to ITV.

The winger picked up the injury in Liverpool’s Europa League loss to Besiktas in Istanbul last Thursday and he was not included in the squad for their win over Manchester City yesterday.

The youngster has been in fine form for the club lately, but is now set to face a prolonged spell of around four weeks in the sidelines with the knee ligament injury he has suffered.

Spending the initial half of the season on loan to Derby County, Ibe has been in impressive form for Liverpool since his return to the club last month.

Though he is yet to score for the Reds this season, the 19-year-old has earned praise for his performances on the right flank for Liverpool in their league wins over Tottenham and Southampton and manager Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of the winger.

Ibe made 20 appearances for Derby County in the Championship under Steve McClaren this season and since his return to his parent club last month, has made five Premier League appearances for the Reds.

He will be hoping to return to action soon as Liverpool look to finish in the Premier League's top four.
