Liverpool defender Kolo Toure insists that finishing the 2014/15 season with a trophy would be great for his team.

The Reds have been in great form in the Premier League of late, having just come out of a 2-1 win against Manchester City this Sunday.

While the win picks them up to sixth spot in the table, it is also expected to fire the Reds up to lift at least one trophy between now and the end of the season in May, according to the 33-year-old.

Brendan Rodgers's side are still in the running for the FA Cup this season and will play Championship side Blackburn Rovers in the quarter-finals of the tournament on Sunday, besides fighting in the league for a top four spot.

And with the form Liverpool are currently displaying, Toure insists that the season is bound to end well for them.

"I think this season will end very well", Toure told his club's official site.

The former Arsenal player also took time to reveal that he enjoys every day with his team-mates in training and also on the pitch.

"I still enjoy every day when I come into Liverpool with my team-mates to see them and enjoy time with them and play games with them.

"It would mean a lot to finish with another trophy, for me it would be massive. That's what I'm trying to do.

"This club needs a trophy. This club is a great club. People who work here – I think this club deserves something. I hope that will be this season."

Liverpool's focus for now though will be on the Burnley match set to be played tonight at Anfield.
