Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed his starting eleven and substitutes to play Newcastle United in a Premier League clash at St. James' Park this evening.
Van Gaal has chosen to select Wayne Rooney to spearhead his side's attack, choosing to leave Colombian striker Radamel Falcao on the bench. The Dutch manager keeps faith with Angel di Maria, who is handed a start, with Adnan Januzaj on the bench if needed. Marouane Fellaini plays against the Magpies, as does Ander Herrera.
Elsewhere, Manchester United name Ashley Young in their starting eleven, along with Daley Blind and Antonio Valencia. On the bench is Michael Carrick, along with Juan Mata if required by Van Gaal.
Manchester United head into the match against the Magpies on the back of a weekend win over Sunderland and sitting in fourth spot in the Premier League standings.
