Real Madrid are stepping up their interest in Manchester United-linked FC Porto full-back Danilo and talks between both parties have intensified over the last few days.

The Brazilian international’s performances have been attracting huge interest from clubs across Europe, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid have identified the full-back as a key transfer target for the summer and with the interest in Danilo rising every minute, they have been trying to negotiate a deal for him with Porto over the last few weeks.

Los Blancos are concerned that Barcelona are trying to utilise Neymar’s friendship with the Brazilian as a tool in the transfer saga and are trying to convince the full-back to wait for them until 2016, when the transfer ban on the Catalan giants will be lifted.

Therefore, according to the AS, Real Madrid have intensified talks with Porto over the last few days and are trying to agree a deal with the Portuguese giants for Danilo for around €30m.
