Neil Redfearn admits that a number of players at Leeds United are playing for their futures at the club between now and the end of the season.

A positive run of form from the Whites, which yielded five wins in six games prior to defeat against Brighton on 24th February, has moved Leeds up to ten points above the Championship relegation zone.

As a result, the immediate pressure of fighting against the drop has been lifted for the Whites and Redfearn is aiming to clock up two quick wins to experiment with players he is not yet sure whether to include in his planning for next term.

"Definitely [some players are playing for their future] because I think in every game you form opinions of players", he told LUTV, before challenging some players to change his view of them.

"Opinions can be changed. You can change people's attitudes towards players and players are aware of that.

"They will want to play well. They are professional and we want to finish this season as well as we can. 12 games to go, there is enough football to be played to finish on a real high note.

"If we can get a couple of wins sooner rather than later we can maybe look at one or two other people and see if they can swim at this level", the 49-year-old added.

Redfearn will look to secure one of the two wins he is targeting this evening when Mick McCarthy's Ipswich Town make the trip to Elland Road to face the Whites in a Championship fixture.
