Chelsea have thrashed out a deal with Romanian outfit Viitorul Costanta for defensive starlet Cristian Manea.

The 17-year-old became the youngest ever player to represent Romania at international level when he made his senior debut for the country last year, turning out against Albania.




The right-back has long been tipped for big things and Chelsea have acted quickly to do a deal to snap up Manea.

 


Indeed, according to Sky Italia, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Viitorul Constanta which will see Manea continue his career at Stamford Bridge.

The young defender is a product of Viitorul Constanta's youth system and made his senior debut for the club in the 2013/14 campaign.

It remains to be seen how much the Blues are paying to sign Manea from the Romanian club, or whether he will move to Stamford Bridge in the summer or at a later date.

The right-back has made 17 appearances in the Romanian top flight so this season, along with turning out twice in the Romanian Cup.
