Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn says that the club's owner Massimo Cellino has promised not to sell starlets Sam Byram, Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook, with the Whites aiming to build their future around the talents.

Cook, 18, Byram, 21 and Mowatt, 20, have been regular features for Leeds this season and played their part in the side's recent turnaround in form, which has pushed Redfearn's men to a healthy 13 points clear of the Championship relegation zone.

All three starlets have been linked with leaving Elland Road at points this season and only earlier this week Leeds striker Billy Sharp stated his belief that the trio are all capable of playing Premier League football.

Leeds are expected to receive approaches for their gems in the summer, but Redfearn says Cellino is determined that they will not be sold.

"Well, there will be interest in them. But the message from the president has always been all along that we're building", Redfearn explained at a press conference following Leeds' 2-1 win over Ipswich Town last night.

"And if we're building, that means you keep your better players.

"So I trust what he says. He's never told me anything any different at any point. So I would have thought they will be staying", the Leeds boss concluded.

Cook, Mowatt and Byram all played the full 90 minutes against Ipswich and will hope to again feature away to Wigan at the weekend.
