Mino Raiola believes Mario Balotelli is becoming a better footballer under the tutelage of Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

Though Balotelli is yet to justify the £16m that Rodgers shelled out last summer to bring him to Anfield, many believe the Italian is finally settling down in a Liverpool team that have been in fantastic form over the last few months.

He has a paltry total of four goals in 23 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season, but Raiola believes his client is at a very interesting stage of his career at the moment.

By asking Balotelli to improve his off the ball play and work ethic, Raiola said that the Italian is being asked to do things that he has never done on the football pitch and the Liverpool boss is helping him to become a more rounded footballer.

He also insisted that the Italian international loves the atmosphere at Liverpool and believes Balotelli will come out as a better footballer from his experience at Anfield.

"Right now, I think Mario has a very interesting development for his career”, Raiola told French radio station RMC.

“He has found a coach who asks of him things that had never been requested of him until now, including the discipline of running without the ball.

"This allows him to grow as a person and as a football player. He'll come out even stronger. He is proud of his team and that is the most important."

Balotelli has made only 12 starts for Liverpool in all competitions this season and will be hoping to get a starting berth in the FA Cup quarter-final against Blackburn at Anfield on Sunday.
