Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has provided an update on his squad's fitness ahead of Monday evening's FA Cup tie away at Manchester United.

The Frenchman will have to change his pairing at centre-back for the trip to Old Trafford with the news that Gabriel Paulista has picked up a hamstring problem and is looking at up to three weeks on the sidelines.

Gabriel, an Arsenal winter transfer window signing from Villarreal, started the club's last two Premier League games, but was forced off early against QPR in midweek and was replaced by Laurent Koscielny.

Wenger, providing an update, told a press conference this morning: "Gabriel is out for two to three weeks with a hamstring problem."

The Arsenal boss also confirmed that: "Nacho Monreal is to have a test today."

Arsenal are defending the FA Cup they won last season, beating Hull City in the final at Wembley, but face an acid test against Louis van Gaal's men.

Nevertheless, Wenger has insisted the Gunners will give defending the trophy their all as they are desperate to make sure it does not leave the Emirates Stadium.

"We are the holders of the FA Cup and we want to keep it", the Arsenal boss explained.

"The cup is about giving it all on the day and we'll do that on Monday."
