Celtic manager Ronny Deila is relishing the prospect of making history by guiding the Bhoys to a domestic treble this season.

Deila’s side currently sit atop the Scottish Premiership table having collected 63 points from their 27 games; they are six points ahead of their nearest rivals Aberdeen.

In the Scottish FA Cup, the Hoops have made it to the quarter-final where they are scheduled to play Dundee United this Sunday.

Deila’s men have successfully navigated their way to the final of the Scottish League Cup, where they will again encounter the Terrors on 15th March. A win for the Hoops would see them collect their first silverware of the season.

The Norwegian has reiterated that his team are not looking too far into the horizon and are instead focussing on one game at a time.

“We have to focus on one game at a time”, Deila told the official Celtic site.

Making history hasn’t escaped the manager’s attention, but he insists that the challenge of winning the treble will not be easy by any means.

“Only three teams in Celtic’s history have done this before, so if it’s so easy you have to think again.

“It will be tough, but we believe, and we just have to take every game as it comes, do everything well and look forward to the next match.

“Everybody really wants it and I really want it and we have so many games to look forward to.

“That’s good because we are doing well.”

Celtic will look to reach the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup by defeating Dundee United in the quarter-final at Tannadice Park on Sunday.
