Despite their busy schedule, Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker feels that his team are well prepared to face the challenge posed by their weekend rivals Queens Park Rangers.

Having played the final of the League Cup on Sunday and then beaten Swansea on Wednesday in their Premier League clash, Spurs will play their third match within the span of a week when they take on QPR at Loftus Road tomorrow.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have enjoyed good domestic form of late, losing only twice in their last ten games. As a result, they are sitting seventh in the table, having played a game less than their rivals, bar Chelsea, as they battle for a spot in the Champions League.

Walker feels that they are well prepared to face the challenge posed by their London rivals tomorrow.

“The training that we put in throughout the week is very intense and the gaffer makes sure that we can go for the 90 minutes at all times”, he told the club site.

He added that the focus is not just the playing eleven, Spurs possess sufficient quality on the bench as well.

“To be fair we’ve got a lot of good cover on the bench as well, so we’re not just an eleven-man squad – we have strength in depth."

QPR’s manager Chris Ramsey and their director of football Les Ferdinand are well versed with Tottenham, having spent several years with the club’s youth academy. But Walker feels that if Spurs play their natural game they will be hard to get past.

“Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand know us well but we need to play our game as I’ve said all season, take one game at a time and hopefully we should get the three points.”

A win for Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow will give their chances of a spot in next season’s Champions League a big boost.
