Tom Cleverley, on loan at Aston Villa from Manchester United, is a big fan of the club's new manager Tim Sherwood and believes he has made an impact since his arrival at Villa Park.

Sherwood has succeeded Paul Lambert at Villa Park and has already steered the club into the semi-finals of the FA Cup, while giving the club's chances of avoiding relegation in the Premier League a shot in the arm.

Cleverley has seen Sherwood at close quarters and feels that he is passionate about succeeding and has ensured there are no grey areas for Aston Villa's players.

"As a man he's approachable and easy to talk to – he's a good guy. He's fitted right in here", Cleverley told the club's site.

"Football-wise, we know exactly what he wants from us. There's no grey areas for the boys.

"He's got us playing well. And he's got enormous passion for what he's doing here.

"We see it every day and the fans see it on matchday.

"Everyone likes to see that enthusiasm and energy on the sidelines and in training. I certainly do."

Aston Villa are next in action against struggling Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, before they host Swansea City at Villa Park the following weekend.

Villa are just one point behind Gus Poyet's Sunderland in the Premier League standings.

Sherwood's men are set to play either Liverpool or Blackburn Rovers in their FA Cup semi-final clash.
