Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata has given hope to clubs in Australia and China who may aim to sign him in future.

Mata may be far from thinking about leaving Old Trafford yet, but clubs from the two countries have been given reason to feel he could be open to an offer when his time at Manchester United is over.

Speaking in a fans' Q & A session, Mata was asked what his favourite place or city in the world is.

The Spaniard is well-travelled and instead switched the question to where he would like to go to in future, pointing to Australia and China.

He said: "I´ve been in so many nice places in the world, starting from my home, but I can tell you the ones I would like to go, like Australia or China."
