Tottenham Hotspur Under-21 manager Ugo Ehiogu wants to take the positives out of the Norwich match yesterday and has praised his players for their individual performances, despite noting their standards dropped from a recent draw at Old Trafford.

The young Lilywhites lost the match 2-0, thus throwing away the chance to go jointly top with Manchester United in the Under-21 Premier League.

The defeat was Tottenham's first loss in the last five matches and now pushes them down to third spot in the league, behind Southampton, who climbed up to second spot by virtue of another 2-0 win against Liverpool on the same day.

Taking the blame for the loss, the 42-year-old added that after playing Manchester United at Old Trafford, it was up to them to make sure that they were "right on it" against Norwich City.

The former Aston Villa man though took time to praise his players individually, expressing his concerns over the unfortunate injury of midfielder Aaron McEneff, who had to be replaced early.

“Everyone says goals make a difference, and they do”, Ehiogu told his club's official website.

“The disappointment was that we spoke about the small details, spoke about the other side of the game and we take for granted central defenders who can head the ball from a goal-kick or a corner and we didn’t have anyone dominant in that respect.

“There were positives for us as well.

"I thought Chris Paul did well after his early introduction and our thoughts go out to Aaron, we hope he’s well and it’s not too serious, Armani Daly also did well when he came on and Will Miller did okay.

"After playing United at Old Trafford we had to make sure we were right on it and we weren’t today. I take a bit of the blame for that as well."
