PSV Eindhoven midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is a wanted man, the club's technical director Marcel Brands has confirmed, while stressing he feels the talent will stay put at the Philips Stadion over the summer.

Wijnaldum has helped PSV surge to the top of the Eredivisie this season and remain on course to break Ajax's stranglehold on the Dutch crown.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with the Dutch talent being linked with Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United, with talk of a summer move rife.

Brands admits that the 24-year-old is wanted, but is confident that he will choose to continue his adventure with PSV.

"There are absolutely clubs interested in him", Brands told in-house channel PSV TV.

"Wijnaldum though is a very down to earth guy and he is totally not looking for a transfer.

"He finds it even more interesting to see what things will look like next year in a PSV shirt."

Brands also admits that Wijnaldum has interest from clubs in multiple countries and claims to be in the dark over when the midfielder might move on from the Philips Stadion.

"Actually, clubs from all the major countries look at him. Will a transfer come? I don't know.

"Such clubs usually only come at the last moments."

The midfielder has clocked up a total of 37 appearances in all competitions for PSV so far this season, scoring 14 goals and providing five assists.

Wijnaldum also has 16 senior Netherlands caps to his name.
