Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is to attempt to do a deal with Arsenal over striker Paulo Dybala, when he meets representatives from the Gunners later this week.

Zamparini has called a halt to contract renewal talks with Dybala after the striker's representatives indicated that Palermo's maximum offer of €1m is not acceptable. The club's president has now vowed to sell the Argentine, but has ruled Italian sides out of the race due to the asking price slapped on the striker.

It is thought that Zamparini wants around €40m for Dybala, who is interesting Juventus and believed to be keen on joining the Bianconeri as he seeks to remain in Serie A.

However, according to Sky Italia, Zamparini is to attempt to push forward a sale to Arsenal, with a meeting with Gunners representatives set to take place in the coming days.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is thought to be a firm fan of Dybala and Zamparini is hoping to tempt the Gunners to become firmly involved in the chase for the 21-year-old.
