Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have made signing a left-back a summer transfer priority and have three names on their shortlist, according to Madrid-based daily Marca.

Los Rojiblancos' preferred choice for the left-back role is Filipe Luis, who only left the Vicente Calderon last summer to link up with Chelsea.

It is unclear whether Chelsea would be willing to quickly cash in on Luis and whether the player would be open to a return to his old stomping ground.

Given that, Atletico Madrid have added another two names to their list of potential left-back signings.

Monaco's Layvin Kurzawa is under consideration at the Vicente Calderon, with the Spanish champions have been impressed with his performances in the principality this season.

Also under consideration is FC Porto's Alex Sandro, another player rated highly by Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone.

Atletico Madrid's first choice however remains Luis and the Spanish giants are prepared to do all they can to tempt the 29-year-old back to the Vicente Calderon when the transfer window swings open again in the summer.
