Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci has admitted his admiration for Marseille coach Marcelo Bielsa and hinted at the hope of working with the Argentine one day.

Bellusci joined Leeds from Catania last summer and wasted no time in cementing a spot in the team, instantly getting to grips with the cut and thrust of England's second tier and picking up a number of bookings along the way.

The Italian keeps abreast of football on the continent and when it comes to the Ligue 1 title race, is cheering on Bielsa's Marseille.

Bielsa, who has coached both Argentina and Chile at international level, currently has Marseille sitting third in the French top flight.

Bellusci was asked by FOX Sports about the teams he would like to watch in their respective leagues in Europe and, stopping in France, he replied: "Marseille in France, cheering Bielsa because I admire him and would like to get to know him one day."

Bielsa has never coached in the two countries in which Bellusci has played, England and Italy, with his time in Europe at present restricted to Spain and France.

Bielsa's Marseille play league leaders Paris Saint-Germain after the international break and, two points behind the capital club, could leapfrog them with victory.
