Wesley Sneijder feels confident that the Netherlands can earn positive results over the international break against Turkey and Spain, however does admit that Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben will be missed.

Both Van Persie and Robben are absent from the Netherlands squad through injury and Guus Hiddink's men face a crucial Euro 2016 qualifier against Turkey without the pair.

Following the Turkey clash, the Netherlands lock horns with Spain in a friendly with far less at stake.

Sneijder feels that the Netherlands have what it takes to earn positive results from both games. But the Galatasaray star will not pretend that the absence of Van Persie and Robben is anything other than a blow.

He told De Telegraaf: "We can get a good result without Arjen and Robin, although you don't need to have a degree in maths to know they are big misses.

"They've shown week after week that they are amongst the best in the world, with Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

"So of course we will miss then, but we have been in these situations before and I know it does not help to think about it too much.

"We will do everything in our power to beat Turkey and I do not feel extra pressure because they are not here", Sneijder added.

Robben, who starred at the World Cup with the Netherlands last summer, has won 86 caps for his country, scoring 28 goals.

Van Persie meanwhile has collected 96 caps with the Oranje, hitting the back of the net on 49 occasions.
