Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic is an exceptional talent and says that he never had a problem with his temperament.

The former French international played with the Paris Saint-Germain striker for a season at Barcelona, where they won one Spanish league title and the FIFA Club World Cup amongst various other honours.

Talking about his time with the Swede, Henry told L’Equipe: “He is an extraordinary guy and is incredibly kind. We did share some laughs together.”

The forward is known for making controversial statements and recently found himself under the scanner for making some comments against the referee after a league match. He also added some unsavoury remarks and said France doesn’t deserve a team like PSG.

However, Henry is not too worried about the controversy and said that France should savour a player like Ibrahimovic, who he feels will go down in history as one of the greats of the game.

The former Monaco man also added that the Swede says what he feels like, but he has never found any problems with his temperament as a footballer.

“France must know what it wants! Before we complained about lack of international stars [in our league] and now a player of that size is here, we still complain.

“Zlatan is out of the ordinary and will go down in history as one of the greats of the game. He has been a champion wherever he has played.

“And about his temperament; he says what he thinks but it never bothered me.”
