AC Milan are ready to place an offer of around €15m on Borussia Dortmund’s table for their Italian international Ciro Immobile.

The 25-year-old just joined Dortmund last summer from Torino for a fee of around €20m, but has failed to make the kind of impact expected from a striker who scored 23 goals in all competitions last season.

Immobile’s poor output of just three goals has played a part in Dortmund’s struggles this season and since the Bundesliga returned from its winter break, the Italian has found himself on the fringes of the first eleven.

Immobile has made just two substitute appearances in the last seven league games and Dortmund won the five of those fixtures where he warmed the bench.

The striker is feeling frustrated by the lack of action and is believed to be seeking a move away from the Westfalenstadion after just one season in Germany.

According to Tuttosport, AC Milan are keen to take Immobile back to Italy and are prepared to offer €15m to Dortmund to make the deal happen this summer.

AC Milan officials are set to meet the player’s representatives in the next few days to discuss the possibility of the former Torino man wearing the Rossoneri colours next season.

With Jurgen Klopp looking to restructure the team for next term, Immobile’s adventure in Germany might come to an end after just one season at the Westfalenstadion.
