Bayern Munich midfielder Xabi Alonso is looking forward to playing at Anfield during the All-Star charity match this Sunday.

The 2010 World Cup winner moved to the Bavarian giants at the start of the current season and has fitted flawlessly into Pep Guardiola’s first team, making 32 appearances in all competitions so far.

After spending five years at Anfield, the veteran midfielder is relishing the prospect of playing once again at the historic stadium in front of Liverpool’s passionate supporters this weekend, insisting that the Reds’ home ground is a special stadium.
