Liverpool linked Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has said that he is not averse to biding his time at Los Blancos in search of finding a starting spot in goal ahead of club captain Iker Casillas.

After his stellar performances with the Costa Rica national team at the World Cup last summer, Real Madrid signed the custodian from Levante after meeting his €10m release clause.

But the 28-year-old has been unable to find a regular spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s first team and has been relegated to the bench in favour of the veteran Casillas, leading to speculation about Navas leaving Real Madrid in search of regular first team action.

Liverpool, who struggled with the indifferent form of their number one Simon Mignolet earlier in the season, have been heavily linked with a possible move for the Costa Rica national team captain.

However, Navas is willing to bide his time in the Spanish capital and fight for a first team spot.
