Liverpool have been linked with eyeing a move for Juventus’ Spanish international striker Fernando Llorente in the summer.

With Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert misfiring, Daniel Sturridge still regularly succumbing to injury and Fabio Borini expected to leave the club at the end of the season, Brendan Rodgers is in the market for a centre forward.

Sturridge’s injury concerns have recently cropped up again to force Rodgers' hand and the Northern Irishman has been scouring the market for a suitable candidate.

According to Italian daily Tuttosport, Liverpool have expressed an interest in Juventus striker Llorente and are keen to take him to Anfield at the end of the season.

Though he has scored just seven goals this season for the Bianconeri, Rodgers believes the Spanish international will add much needed depth and experience to his attacking department next season.

Juventus, who are themselves in the market for a top centre forward, are believed to be ready to let the player go in the summer if they receive a suitable offer on their table.
