Manchester United-linked Nigel de Jong is assessing his options for the summer, but has ruled out a move back to former club Ajax.

The Dutch international’s contract with AC Milan is set to run out at the end of the season and he is yet to make a decision on his future.

Though there has been speculation that he has decided to leave the San Siro, De Jong is yet to reach a conclusion and is still considering his options for the summer.

The former Manchester City midfielder has been extensively linked with Manchester United as his former national team manager Louis van Gaal is in the market for a combative midfielder and is believed to be tracking the 30-year-old.

Though De Jong is still assessing the options on his table, he has made it clear that he has no plans to return to his old club Ajax yet.
